7月16日下午,一位大爷带着孙女走到三联韬奋书店美术馆总店门口,眼见书店还在装修未开放,询问完开放时间后便失望地离开了。每天,三联韬奋书店门口都有数名这样的读者上门询问。

7月12日,CCTV晚间的“新闻1+1”节目评论员白岩松对当前三联韬奋24小时书店美术馆总店的改造工程效率不高提出批评,7月16日,“三联书店三联书情”公众号做出了回应。当天下午,北青社区报记者到书店实地探访时了解到,书店内部改造已完工,已处于待验收期。

记者在现场观察到,书店外立面被支架和绿网包裹,有工人正在现场施工。在临近崔府夹道的一边开着一扇门,书店相关工作人员在门口向上门询问的读者解释施工原因及进度。

当被记者问及书店对于白岩松批评作何回复时,一位工作人员表示,这个批评其实从侧面流露出忠实的老读者对书店的期待,书店将一定保持传统和初心。

一位在三联韬奋书店美术馆总店“驻扎”了六年多的老读者说:“我就一个希望,赶紧营业!”她还强调说,现在虽然网购很方便,但是有的书需要读完一部分之后再决定要不要买,三联很多的人文类书籍比较考究,而且氛围比很多网红打卡的实体书店好。

据三联书店相关工作人员介绍,曾经有一位老太太带着孙子上门发现书店在装修,竟抑制不住愤怒:“我大老远带着孙子过来!到底什么时候能开业啊?”

据该工作人员介绍,书店图书陈列空间扩大了,书籍量将大大增加。内部改造已经完工,处于待验收期;外部屋面瓦正在修缮。书店内风格没有改变,保留三联独有的图书分类格局、书架构造和导购路线。比如,门口附近区域用于放置热销书籍和最新书籍;灰色地砖区域用于放书,黑色地砖区域用于引导等。总结起来一句话:还是那个味儿。

那么这一年多时间的改造到底做了什么呢?

据介绍,书店内部主要进行了基础设施的改造和提升,包含空调、灯光设备的更新,墙面的修缮和维护。天花板用钢板加固。曾经的吊顶改为裸顶,配以格栅。

对于大量三联老读者渴望书店开业的急迫心情,该工作人员回应说,从2017年立项到2018年5月,三联一直在讨论改造方案,设计师提出五花八门的方案,都被否掉了。大家经过仔细推敲和考量,认为还是应该保持传统,回归初心。“这是书店,读者进来之后只需要关注书,除此之外,我们不希望其他的东西分散他们的注意力。”他说。整个改造工程实际动工时间是2018年8月底。

由于书店屋面瓦正在修缮,所以楼房表面还覆盖着支架和钢板。“这就像一个包裹着礼物的礼盒,等到开业时,书店就是我们送给所有读者的一个礼物。”该工作人员这样比喻到。

北京三联韬奋24小时书店,前身为北京三联韬奋书店,成立于1996年8月,是北京首家24小时全天候营业书店。

7月12日,《北京市关于进一步繁荣夜间经济促进消费增长的措施》发布,出台13条措施打造“夜京城”,其中包括“继续扶持24小时实体书店”。作为北京市第一个24小时书店,三联韬奋书店美术馆总店将肩负更多读者的期待。
